NUMEN, latin word : a divine power believed to inhabit a particular object.
NUMEN is a representation of the cycle of nature with the trinity of birth, life and death.
This cycle of impermanence applies to all living and all natural elements on Earth.
Textiles are one of them and strictly follow this cycling principe of circulation.
NUMEN is made of 5 elements hanging is space with a sound environment.
On the sides, two sets of vertical ropes. One white and golden expressing the descent of the energy on Earth.
One black and grey expressing the rise of the energy going up back to the cosmos.
In the center three coats in non human size and cosmic dimension, 3 meters high or wide.
The first one, alongside the white ropes, being our birth, our awakening and the golden years of youth.
The second and central one being our lifespan, our layers of life experience and our slow material decay.
The third one, alongside the black ropes, expressing the time of being old and our occurring death and transformation.
Numen was presented at the Saatchi Gallery during OPEN COLLECT LONDON in February 2018.

Numen은 라틴어로 모든 생명체에 깃든 창조적이고 근원적인 힘을 뜻한다.
Numen은 태어남, 죽음 그리고 그사이에 있는 우리의 삶은 자연의 순환 속에 공존한다.
무상한 우주의 순환의 체계는 지구상의 모든 생명체와 자연 요소에 적용된다.
누멘은 5가지 요소로 구성되어 있다.
측면에는 두 세트의 수직 로프가 있다.
지구상에서 에너지 하강을 나타내는 흰색과 황금색,우주로 올라가는 에너지 상승을 나타내는 검정과 회색이다.
중앙에는 코스믹 차원의 3종류의 생명체가 있다.
첫번째 ‘Birth’는 흰 밧줄과 함께 탄생과 깨어남을 의미한다.
두번째 ‘Life’는 우리의 삶 안에서 경험하고 변화하고, 소멸하는 과정이다.
세번째 ‘Death’는 소멸하고 수승하게 변환함을 의미한다.
